How to change your password
There are two ways to change your password on Eduvem: from your own profile, when you are signed in, or through password recovery, when you cannot sign in.

Changing your password while signed in
Section titled “Changing your password while signed in”- Sign in to the platform with your current username.
- Open your profile from the top menu.
- Find the change password option, enter your current password and the new password.
- Save. The new password takes effect immediately for your next sign-ins.
Forgot password
Section titled “Forgot password”- On your institution’s sign-in screen, click Forgot password (right below the Login button).
- In the Username field, enter your email, your CPF, or your registration number - whichever your institution uses as the login.
- Follow the instructions shown on the screen.
What happens next depends on whether there is an email address on your registration.
If you have an email on file
Section titled “If you have an email on file”You receive a message with a reset link. Follow the link and set the new password.
If you have no email on file
Section titled “If you have no email on file”This is the usual case for people registered by CPF or by registration number. If your institution has enabled recovery by WhatsApp, you receive a 6-digit code on the phone number already on your profile:
- Type the code on the screen that appears after the request.
- Set the new password.
The screen always responds the same way, whether the account exists or not, and does not say through which channel the instructions were sent. This is intentional: it prevents the screen from being used to find out whether a person is registered on the platform.
If you have neither an email nor a phone number on file, or if your institution has not enabled recovery by WhatsApp, talk to your institution’s administrator.
For administrators
Section titled “For administrators”Two institution settings govern this screen (institution Configuration):
- Allow password change - governs recovery as a whole. When off, neither email nor WhatsApp works.
- Allow password recovery by WhatsApp - lets a participant with no email recover their password with a code sent to the phone number already on their profile. It comes off for every institution.
The number is used exactly as it is stored and is not verified by the platform, just as the email is not either. In practice this means keeping the phone numbers correct on the registrations is what makes this path work - it is worth checking before enabling the option.
If the participant cannot recover their password through either path, the administrator can still help through participant administration: find the person and use the access actions available on their registration.
