Custom texts per language
Some platform texts can be replaced with your institution’s wording, per language, with immediate effect - without depending on Eduvem updates.
What can be customized
Section titled “What can be customized”- Terms of Use: the legal text accepted at registration can be entirely your organization’s, with one version per language.
- Labels of custom profile fields: each field created by the institution can have its label translated into the enabled languages.
How the right language is chosen
Section titled “How the right language is chosen”The participant sees the text in the language of their session. If your institution has not customized that specific language, the platform goes through the institution’s enabled languages, in order, and uses the first filled-in text - a graceful fallback instead of an empty text.
The platform works with four interface languages: Português, English, Español and Français. Which of them are enabled in your institution, and in what order, is defined in the Allowed languages field of the Configuration tab.
Best practices
Section titled “Best practices”- Fill in at least your audience’s main language; the others can inherit through the fallback until you have the translations.
- When updating the Terms of Use, update every enabled language at the same time - the fallback avoids empty text, but an outdated legal term in one language is a risk for the institution.
