Content shared between institutions
Content can be distributed from one institution to another: the institution that receives it offers the course in its own catalog, without producing the material.
The originating institution is the one in control: on the Content’s Configuration tab there is the “Allow distribution?” switch, and only content with that option on can be distributed.
What the participant notices
Section titled “What the participant notices”Nothing. Distributed content loads and behaves exactly like content of your own - the same showcase, the same classes, the same player. The files are not copied: participants access the original material transparently.
What changes for the administrator
Section titled “What changes for the administrator”- Editing is locked: the material of content received through distribution belongs to the originating institution - locally, only the scoring (gamification) can be adjusted.
- Updates come from the source: when the originating institution publishes an update and pushes it out, the institutions that received the content start serving the new version.
- Classes are yours: the classes, enrollments, deadlines and reports of the distributed content are managed normally by your institution - distribution shares the material, not the operation.
