Guide: launching an onboarding program
The classic scenario: every new employee needs to complete a mandatory training, automatically, starting from their hiring. The complete walkthrough:
1. Prepare the content
Section titled “1. Prepare the content”Build the training as modular content (or import your SCORM package). Use the test class to review everything as a participant would see it and set up the final exam with the minimum score required by the program.
2. Configure the certificate
Section titled “2. Configure the certificate”If completion generates proof, configure the content’s certificate before the first completions.
3. Create the program’s class
Section titled “3. Create the program’s class”Create the class with the profile of a mandatory program: closed (no self-enrollment), certification by minimum score and, if internal policy sets a completion deadline, the day limit counted from enrollment.
4. Set up the entry group
Section titled “4. Set up the entry group”Create the “Onboarding” group and assign the class to the group. From then on, enrollment is automatic: whoever joins the group joins the class.
5. Connect the intake of people
Section titled “5. Connect the intake of people”- With corporate SSO or an HR integration, the registration can be created automatically at hiring.
- Without an integration, register in bulk through mass operations and add to the group.
- Restrict registration to the organization’s domains.
6. Track and follow up
Section titled “6. Track and follow up”Day to day, the Dashboard filtered by the onboarding content shows who has been Not started for days - the signal to follow up. Export the monthly report for HR with completions and pending items.
