How to earn points for the ranking

This is the explanation you can pass along to your institution’s participants about how the ranking works.

How to earn points

1. Complete contents: each piece of content is worth a number of points defined by the institution.
2. The points come in when the completion is approved (progress criteria and, when there is one, the evaluation score) and the certificate is issued.
3. Keep going: the points add up according to the institution’s ranking window (monthly, yearly, or total).

Weekly goals and challenges

When your institution enables these features, there are two extra ways to score:

• Weekly goal: hit the week’s target score (it resets every Monday) and earn bonus points plus a permanent badge on the ranking.
• Category challenge: complete every piece of content in a category and earn bonus points plus a permanent badge.

Bonus points add to your regular score on the ranking.

How the ranking is built

• The ranking shows the institution’s top positions and your own position, even when you are outside the top.
• Ties share the same position.
• Only participants appear: the institution’s administrative team stays out of the competition.

Common questions

I completed a piece of content and the points did not show up. The score comes in with approval (not just with the end of the material) and can take a few moments to be reflected on the ranking. Check whether the evaluation was completed with the minimum score.

The ranking was reset. The institution probably uses the monthly or yearly window: the competition restarts each period, and your accumulated total keeps counting in the history.

Can I lose points? Only if a scored enrollment is cancelled.
