Install the app and receive notifications

When your institution enables this feature, you can install Eduvem as an app straight from your browser - no app store needed - and choose to receive some of the automatic reminders as a notification on your device too.

  • Computer (Chrome or Edge): look for the install icon in the address bar, or open the browser’s menu and choose the install option.
  • Android (Chrome): the browser offers to install the app in its menu; on some phones, a banner appears on its own.
  • iPhone and iPad (Safari): tap the Share icon and choose Add to Home Screen.

The installed app opens in its own window, with no address bar - but it is the same Eduvem, with the same login and the same content.

On your profile, check Receive reminders in the browser/app. The moment you check it, the browser asks whether you allow notifications - say yes.

With the option on, three of the institution’s automatic reminders also arrive as a notification on your device, whenever they apply to you:

  • Live class starting soon
  • Progress has stalled
  • Enrollment about to expire

The notifications carry a generic message, with no content names or grades, and follow the same days and the same criteria as the email reminders (see Scheduled reminders). If you turned off receiving emails from the platform on your profile, you do not receive these notifications either.

Turning notifications on only applies to the browser and device where you did it - to receive them on your phone and your computer, turn them on separately on each. Logging out on a device turns notifications off on it.
