DRM - content protection
Material published on Eduvem is served in a protected way: the participant consumes the content inside the platform, with no permanent public links to the original files.
What the protection covers
Section titled “What the protection covers”- Access through the platform’s player: the participant opens the material already authenticated, within their session on the platform.
- Undisclosed address: the files sit at an address of the institution’s own, which is not disclosed or indexed. Treat that address as restricted information - anyone who obtains a file’s direct link can open it outside the player.
- Video streaming: videos play in the platform’s player, with no download button for the participant.
What the protection does not cover
Section titled “What the protection does not cover”No technology stops someone from recording the screen or photographing the material. Eduvem’s protection raises the cost of copying considerably, but the agreement with your audience (terms of use, an institutional watermark on the material, clear communication) is still an important part of the strategy.

- Prefer publishing documents as part of the content rather than as downloadable attachments when retaining the material matters.
