Content types

On the Manage Contents screen, the Type column identifies how each content item was built. There are three possible values: Wizard, SCORM 1.2 and Coursebox (AI).

Modular content (Wizard)

Assembled in Eduvem’s own editor, combining lectures with text, videos, images, documents and assignments. It is the most flexible format: you evolve the material lecture by lecture, with no dependency on external tools. In the Type column, it appears as Wizard.

Use it when: the material originates within your team and changes frequently.

Note

Videos, documents and evaluations are not a separate type. They are assembled inside a piece of modular content, as lectures in the flow - which is why content with a video, a PDF and a final exam still appears as Wizard in the Type column.

Video and audio playback speed

By default the participant can change the speed of the lecture’s videos and audios: between 0.5x and 2x on Vimeo videos, and between 0.75x and 2x on uploaded videos and audios. The speed control sits in the player itself.

There are two control levels over this, and the institution’s comes first:

Institution > Configuration	Allow playback speed?	Comes on. Turned off, the speed control disappears from every player at the institution, and the per-slide option stops appearing in the editor.
Content editor, on the video or audio slide	Do not allow changing the playback speed	Removes the control from that slide, leaving the others as they are. Only appears while the institution allows the speed.

Turn it off when the material needs to be watched at its original speed - compliance content, lectures with timed narration, training whose hours need to be verified.

Note

The option removes the control, it does not make speeding up impossible: a participant using a browser extension can still change the speed. Treat it as guidance for the participant, not as a technical block.

Note

Since version 3.12.0, Allow playback speed? is editable by the institution’s own administrator. Before that, only the Eduvem team could change it.

SCORM 1.2

Packages produced in external authoring tools and imported ready-made. Eduvem tracks the progress and completion reported by the package itself. In the Type column, it appears as SCORM 1.2. See Supported LMS standards.

Use it when: the material already exists in SCORM, or your production uses a dedicated authoring tool.

Coursebox (AI)

Content generated with the help of artificial intelligence: you describe the topic, the audience and the duration, and a complete draft is prepared for you to review and publish. It is a feature enabled per institution - if it does not appear as an option, talk to Eduvem support.

Use it when: you want a quick, AI-generated starting point to refine afterward.

Inside a piece of modular content you combine videos, documents and a final exam in the same flow - all under the same Wizard-type content.
